Protocol for submitting stories for publication
In the Gleaner print edition/GleanerNow.com online news
The preferred method is for an author to go directly to https://GleanerNow.com, go to the bottom of the page and click on the Contribute link (https://gleanernow.com/contribute). There are several options available, including tips on how to submit the best images and how to write for the Gleaner (highly recommended).
This is also the location for worksheets for Family Announcements, which can be downloaded, completed, and sent to the Gleaner.
You can submit your articles, with appropriate images, directly to the Gleaner by clicking on the link at the top of that page:
How to Contribute to the Gleaner
If you would like to submit an article for the Gleaner, send the information to Desiree Lockwood.
Click on Desiree Lockwood to be taken to a contact form. You can upload your article file and images there. Please also include your name, position in the church, your contact information, and that your article is Idaho Conference news.
Please include full sentence captions for your images.
Not all articles will be published in the print edition; all articles have the potential to be published in the online news at https://GleanerNow.com.
Deadlines for the 2019 Gleaner, which is now published bi-monthly:
- May/June: April 4
- July/August: June 6
- September/October: Aug. 15
- November/December: Oct. 3
How to Contribute to Mission Idaho Update (Idaho Conference tri-annual newsletter)
Email your articles with appropriate pictures to eve.rusk@idconf.org. Contribution guidelines are the same as for the Gleaner. https://gleanernow.com/contribute
Deadlines for the 2019 Mission Idaho Update, which is published three (3) times a year:
- July/August 2019 issue: Content due to Eve by June 3, 2019
- November/December 2019 issue: Content due to Eve by October 14, 2019
Every effort will be made to include your submissions in a print edition. Later this year, a new page will be on the Idaho Conference website, highlighting activities of churches and schools. Your article may be included there exclusively or may also be included in a print publication.
